After just six months, Lavradores de Feitoria has just seen its wine tourism project distinguished by the Best Of Wine Tourism 2023, a competition promoted by the Great Wine Capitals platform in eleven of the most prestigious wine regions in the world – Adelaide (Australia); Bilbao-Rioja (Spain); Bordeaux (France); Cape Town and Cape Winelands (South Africa); Lausanne (Switzerland); Mainz-Rheinhessen (Germany); Mendoza (Argentina); Porto (Portugal); San Francisco-Napa Valley (USA); Valparaíso-Casablanca Valley (Chile); and Verona (Italy) – with the clear objective of rewarding innovation and excellence.
Each year, six categories are evaluated, first at a regional level and then at a global level. Portugal is represented by Porto, with candidates from a cluster of the Douro/Porto and Vinhos Verdes regions, and Lavradores de Feitoria was crowned winner in the 'wine tourism services' category. The competition now goes on to a double global scrutiny: with the announcement of the global winner today, in Mendoza, Argentina; and with the Best Of Wine Tourims 2023 - People's Choice Awards, where the public chooses their favorites, in a vote that takes place online, on the Great Wine Capitals website, between the 7th and 21st of November.
