On January 19th, in a guided tasting in a relaxed atmosphere, Second Home Lisboa insiders will get to know the versatility and potential of Lavradores de Feitoria wines, as well as the work they have been developing for 16 years in the three sub-regions of the Douro and on the banks of its admirable river. The new identity of Lavradores de Feitoria will also be a topic of conversation.
After browsing through the company's portfolio, six wines were chosen, with special mention for the most recent member of Lavradores de Feitoria, the ' Três Bagos Reserva red ' (2014). A very seductive wine, full of fruit and marked by seriousness and balance between aromas, whose second harvest has just been launched and which promises to live up to the (excellent) reviews that have been given to it. With an excellent quality/price ratio, it is a proposal that stands out for the very unique identity of Douro wines, and which promises to leave no one present indifferent.
Also from the 'Três Bagos' brand, there will be ' Três Bagos 2015 ' and ' Três Bagos Sauvignon Blanc 2015 ', two white wines of reference that have been very well received by the public. If the first is the result of a typical Douro blend, the Sauvignon Blanc takes us to the world's wine references. With an international profile, but with the Douro very present, this is an exuberant and very fruity single-varietal proposal. A wine with tropical notes that give it the necessary balance. Voluminous, it has a pleasant and persistent finish, making it ideal for a late afternoon.
Because the eyes also drink and to brighten up the color palette, a rosé could not be missing, with the ' Lavradores de Feitoria rosé 2015 ', an elegant wine with a more international profile, being another of the suggestions.
Residents of Second Home Lisboa will also be able to taste and confirm the quality of two of Lavradores de Feitoria's terroir wines. The sublime and harmonious ' Meruge red 2014 ', which with its international profile stands apart from the typical Douro wines, and the Douro in a bottle with the ' Quinta da Costa das Aguaneiras red 2013 '. When it comes to Douro wines, this is certainly one of the best examples of what the region can convey through its vineyards. Intense and deep in colour, this is an exuberant nectar where aromas of ripe fruit such as blackberry and plum predominate. Rich and full, it is a suggestion full of aromatic notes and a well-balanced acidity. A complex wine with a well-defined identity that demands a special moment to be appreciated.
